Kunst und Malerei für mich? – ein paar Gedanken…
-eine erste Erinnerung sind die Jackson Ölkreiden, die ich als Kind von meinem Vater erhalten habe, richtig schöne satte Farben, dieser ganz spezielle Moment den ich noch vor mir habe – ich war sehr stolz
-der Geruch, wenn man eine Farbschachtel zum ersten Mal öffnet
-das Malhüsli in Biel
-auch ein einfarbiges Objekt beinhaltet alle Farben – wenn man richtig hinschaut, wenn man sucht…
-Eindrücke wiedergeben welche mich berührt haben, diese auf die Leinwand bringen
-eintauchen in eine andere Welt, etwas mit Kopf, Hand und Bauch schaffen und dabei komplett abschalten
-mich in ein Thema zu vertiefen, zu recherchieren – die Spannung wenn man dabei etwas neues zu entdeckt – die Geschichte umsetzen…
…und dann schlicht und einfach die Transparenz
…die Freude und manchmal auch das Erstaunen, wenn ich vor einem meiner fertigen Bilder stehe – habe wirklich ich das gemacht?
L’art et la peinture pour moi – quelques réflexions…
-un des premiers souvenirs sont les pastels à l’huile que mon père m’a donnés quand j’étais enfant, des couleurs si belles et riches, un moment très précieux que j’ai encore devant moi aujourd’hui – j’étais très fier
-l’odeur quand on ouvre une boîte de crayons pour la première fois…
-le «Malhüsli» à Bienne
–même un objet monochrome contient toutes les couleurs- si vous regardez bien, si vous cherchez…
-reproduire les impressions qui m’ont touché, les amener sur toile
-m’immerger dans un autre monde, créer quelque chose avec la tête, les mains et le ventre et m’éteindre complètement.
-approfondir un sujet, faire des recherches, le plaisir de découvrir quelque chose de nouveau et ensuite réaliser cette histoire…
– juste ou simplement la transparence
…la joie et parfois aussi l’étonnement lorsque je me trouve devant l’un de mes tableaux terminés – ai-je vraiment fait cela ?
Art and painting for me? – a few thoughts…

-to delve into a topic, to research – the excitement of discovering something new – and then to make it happen…

-the joy and sometimes the astonishment when I stand in front of one of my finished pictures – did I really do that?

Inspiration und Entwicklung
« Zahlreiche Reisen durch Nordamerika, von Alaska bis Mexiko, in die Karibik und den Südpazifik bis nach Asien während meiner Jahre in den Vereinigten Staaten und auch heute noch, sind prägender Bestandteil der künstlerischen Arbeit und inspirieren immer wieder aufs Neue.
Motiviert durch die zahllosen visuellen eindrücke habe ich verschiedene kunstgewerbliche kurse besucht und viel zeit und energie in die autodidaktische weiterbildung investiert ».

« De nombreux voyages en Amérique du nord, de l’Alaska au Mexique, des Iles caraïbes aux pays du pacifique du sud jusqu’en Asie durant mes années aux Etats-Unis étaient et restent encore actuellement des éléments importants de mon travail artistique et sont une source d’inspiration constante.
motivée par la force de ces innombrables impressions visuelles, j’ai suivi divers cours de formation en matière d’art décoratif, de beaux arts, et de peinture à l’huile; en outre j’ai investi beaucoup de temps et d’énergie dans la formation autodidacte ».

Inspiration and evolution
